You are here:
The Web Guidelines Quickscan enables you to test a web page for compliance with (a subset of) the Web Guidelines. The outcome gives an indication of the quality of each page tested. Please note that the score is indicative for the website asawhole; since a webpage is no more than a random sample.
The Quickscan automatically tests for 47 Web Guidelines. To test a web page for conformity to all 125 guidelines an additional manual test should be carried out in based on Normdocument Web Guidelines at www.drempelvrij.nl/webrichtlijnen (page in Dutch, downloadable documents in English).
You can enter up to 10 web addresses simultaneously. These are put into a queue to be tested. For pages that require logins, you can enter the full URL invoeren, including a user name and password. Such authentication data will only be used to correctly test the page and will not be displayed on this website.

Please note!
Unfortunately, when testing a website secured by a user name and password, it is not possible to test the CSS as well. You can test the separate CSS file using the validator on W3C.
The Web Guidelines Quickscan uses a version of the HTML and CSS validator of W3C. This version may deviate from the version currently used on the W3C.org website.
Availability of a test is warranted for one week. Be aware that third parties can retrieve the results through the generated web address of the test. By the way, user names and pass words will never be displayed.
There is a downloadable, Dutch version of the Web Guidelines Quickscan is available. Access to and knowledge of the configuration of an Apache web server is required for installing it. Go to the download section Web Guidelines Quickscan (Dutch only) to obtain this version.
